Basic components: Monitor, CPU, Keyboard, Mouse

Here’s a simple explanation of the basic components of a computer:

🖥️ 1. Monitor

  • What it does: Displays the visual output from the computer.

  • Type: It's an output device.

  • Use: Shows you what's happening—text, videos, software interfaces, etc.

🧠 2. CPU (Central Processing Unit)

  • What it does: Processes instructions and performs calculations.

  • Nickname: The brain of the computer.

  • Use: Runs programs, handles data, and controls other components.

Note: The term CPU is often confused with the whole computer case (tower), but technically, it's just the chip inside the case.

⌨️ 3. Keyboard

  • What it does: Lets you input letters, numbers, and commands.

  • Type: An input device.

  • Use: Typing text, giving commands (like Ctrl + C to copy), navigating with shortcuts.

🖱️ 4. Mouse

  • What it does: Lets you move the cursor and interact with the computer screen.

  • Type: An input device.

  • Use: Clicking, dragging, selecting, scrolling.

These four components are essential for basic computer use.
